iPods & iPads in the Classroom

ipodsThere are endless educational possibilities for iPods and iPads as classroom instructional devices. Let's face it, between the iPhone, iPod, and, iPad a good portion of your students are already carrying these devices into your classroom. Take this opportunity to capitalize on the excitement, energy, and learning these devices can provide to you and your students. Engagement is half the battle.

The resources below have been collected and reviewed for the iPods in the Classroom Professional Development Workshop offered June 2010.
Keep in mind that 95% of the applications listed also apply to the iPad and iPhone. The best news is that now there will be three mobile devices available to run these learning tools. This may save millions of dollars in the long run as students start providing their own learning devices in the classroom. It is essential that as teachers we know the good, bad, and ugly about the operation and use of these devices. They are not going away!
