iTunes has been a very successful platform to sell music and getting
lots of really good content through podcasting. A while back Apple and
realease iTunes U that had lots of content from many universities such as University of South Florida, MIT, and Duke just to name a few.
This past week iTunes just has unveiled the K12 section with lots of
content from K12 institutions for K12teachers and students. Being from
Florida and a Florida Master Digital Educator I’m very excited that the Florida Center for Instructional Technology (FCIT) from University of South Florida is the one that is managing our content.
They have about 11 institutions to start, if you like to see a very impressive K12 looking one make sure to visit the Arizona Department of Education one.
Further more they did not find in those nations were competitive grading, standardized testing, and top-down accountability which is what we are known for. If haven’t done so you need to read it! My point is that integration of technology in the classroom is one the most powerful ways to promote project-based learning. I think there is a lesson in there to be learned…… what do you think???
